    • SYNOPSIS
      I’m throwing my hat in the ring called life.

      After a few months of social adjustment training, the North Korean refugee Jina moves to a small studio in Seoul and starts her new life. To bring her father to South Korea, she needs money but no matter how hard she works, the discrimination doesn't let her save enough money. One day the broker introduces her to a boxing gym cleaning job. Seeing young and confident female boxers, Jina feels something burning inside...

        Born in Busan in 1980, YUN studied art, photography, and film in Nancy Beaux-art, Paris Arts Décoratifs, and Le Fresnoy. His short documentary Promise (2011) won the grand prize at Asiana International Short Film Festival, and his omnibus short Pig (2013) was invited to Cannes Film Festival and Busan International Film Festival. His feature documentary Mrs. B. A North Korean Woman (2016) won the best documentary award at Moscow Film Festival and Zurich Film Festival. The short film Hitchhiker (2016) was invited to Directors′ Fortnight at Cannes Film Festival. Yun′s first feature film, Beautiful Days(2018), was invited as the opening film of Busan International Film Festival 2018.
