    • SYNOPSIS
Tae-shik, once a silver medallist in the Asian Games, now gets paid to be beaten up in place of others in the middle of the street. Gambling debts and a fire in a factory have consumed everything he has ever owned, so he has no choice but to work as a street boxer in order to make ends meet. All he has left is his wife and son. To make matters worse, his wife demands a divorce and he is no longer able to live with his son Seo-jin who is his only hope in life. With his back up against the wall and nothing more to lose, the old boxer decides to go for the amateur boxing title.
    • DIRECTOR INFO
      • RYOO Seung-wan Born in 1973, After shaking up Chungmuro with his 16mm relay film < Die Bad >, Director RYOO Seung-wan went on to take Korean action films at least two levels up with < No Blood, No Tears >. He then secured himself as a commercially successful director through martial arts with a unique comical sense in < Arahan> . < Crying Fist > is a moving film about two men who lead rough lives to come up against each other in one great fight and breaks away from his previous works. Life on the edge seen through the honest eyes of two men and Director RYOO's very own stylish sense join forces to create a human drama that tugs on the heartstrings.
